There I was, in the middle of the office supply aisle at Target, spending 15 minutes trying to decide which notebook to buy. A notebook! I had been super-inspired by my good friend Jasmine [we're good friends ever since she commented back on my wall post on her photography page!] to start jotting notes and ideas and inspiration for photography all in one wonderful notebook.
But I got stuck. Surrounded by colors and designs and organizers and recycled paper, I was stuck. I’m usually pretty decisive, but I’m also very detail-oriented. So when I’m confronted with so many choices, I totally OVER THINK everything! Hmm…I think I’d feel more creative wihtout lined pages. Or, Do I REALLY want perforated edges? After I had picked up and fanned through at least 10 or 12 different style notebooks, I passed by one style a second time. There lay an old-school, wide-ruled, Composition Notebook on the top shelf, priced at $1.02. That’s it! That’s my inspiration notebook! So simple, so classic, a blank canvas. So perfect.
