If there’s anywhere that quintessentially fits the song, “Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland,” it’s the little road my mom lives on in a small town in Maine. I’m not sure that it’s any different from any other back road in any other small town in Maine, but I’ve driven down it so many times after a fresh snowfall that I just can’t help but picture it every time I hear that song.
God was good to me while we were home in Maine for a few days–we got a fresh blanket of snow! (In Maine, a 4-6 inch snowfall is considered a blanket, not a storm.) It was pretty cozy and warm in my mom’s house, but she prodded me to go out into the blistery cold weather to take some pictures. I haven’t really taken a lot of snow pictures, so here’s my attempt to capture my simple, but picturesque, hometown:
