Hey friends! It’s been a little while since my last post, but I assure you I’ve been busy reading and reflecting on quite a few things as of late. So, I thought I’d just share a few recent highlights of the past month or so…Enjoy!
–Warm weather and February flowers. Flowers? In February? I have NO idea how much this is going to screw up the rest of our seasons, but for now, I’ll take it!
–Days that are getting longer….oh, how I love long days and coming home while it’s still light out!
–Going salsa dancing with Rich! A local ballroom has a Latin night once a month, so we headed out last Friday night. I still don’t have much rhythm, but I have fun trying!
–Going on Winter Retreat (my first time to Harvey Cedars) with about a hundred amazing teenagers! It was awesome to see God working in their lives, and He did such a work in my life that weekend as well. Honestly, part of the weekend was a bit challenging for me, but I know it God was working in my life and speaking to me through those circumstances. He is so good, and I’m blessed to be able to know some amazing young people!
–My hubby finding my Costa Rica journal! Oh, be still my heart. While I was studying abroad in Costa Rica for the most physically, academically, spiritually, and personally challenging semester of my life, journaling was such an outlet for me! That journal held so many memories and was an important part of my journey…and for the past few years, I haven’t been able to find it. I had searched high and low, and I had resigned myself to the idea that I might never find it (a very sad prospect). And then I came home one day to find Rich cleaning in the basement, and he had it sitting out on a counter. SO giddy!
