Yeah, that is something I want to try, as I’ve read that it is supposed to do the same thing…but I haven’t purchased any lens hoods yet! : / Luckily I was shooting with the 50 1.8 so it wasn’t very heavy, and my shutter was pretty fast. But I wouldn’t get any light creeping in between my fingers if I used a hood. Will have to try one out!

I highly recommend using a lens hood That way you can free up your second hand to steady the lens

Thanks, Grammie! I certainly will keep shooting…I love it! And I loved my film camera when I had it, but it WAS expensive! I never knew you were interested in photography–maybe that’s where I get it from! Love ya!
