I’m always surprised when I realize that one of the teens that I’ve known for years is contacting me for senior portraits. Senior portraits! Wait–you’re a senior already?! I often forget that the teens in our youth group actually grow older. But as hard as it is to see them growing up and out of youth group, it’s such a blessing to watch their lives unfold before them.

Erika is a sweet, beautiful chica that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know at our weekly youth group, girls’ sleepovers, and other youth activities. I’m so honored to be able to capture this exciting time in her life. When she told me she wanted to do part of her senior portraits IN a stream (not next to), it made me slightly giddy! I love adventuresome portrait sessions!

I also gotta give a shout out to my lovely assistant Sarah! Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to get some of those off camera light shots.
